Community Crisis Center Detoxification Unit
The Community Crisis Center detoxification unit is a 12-bed emergency medical detoxification unit for individuals who may be at risk of withdrawal from alcohol and other drugs. The unit is staffed with nurses and support staff around the clock and provides medication interventions to stabilize individuals during one to five day stays. The program physician is on-site daily.
While on the detoxification unit, individuals are assessed to determine the most appropriate placement for substance use treatment. The individual is an active participant in the decision regarding the type of care. If the program that is the best fit for the individual is full, START NOW provides outpatient groups for support as the individual waits to enter the more structured setting.
HSC is a provider of substance use treatment for individuals with drug and/or alcohol addiction. There is a comprehensive system of services including medically supervised detoxification, residential treatment settings, and outpatient programs followed by continuing care. Some of the services are gender specific and are provided through separate residential and outpatient programs for women and men.
